Question for you more experienced GR shooters. Today I went out shooting some urban scenes. I was shooting RAW only but along the way, I changed the setting to one of the presets (I like BW Hi Contrast). However, I did not change to jpeg or RAW+jpeg. Using the camera playback, I can see the images with preset applied. However, importing in LR Mobile shows the RAW (color) version only.
Do I lose the use of the presets or are they somehow embedded and if so, how to I get them?

Just part of the learning curve . . .
Hi - AFAIK exposure comp is the only adjustment that 'carries over' to the RAW file. Otherwise the RAW file is just that - a 'raw' file without any further adjustments. The preset adjustments apply to jpg only, and the (adjusted) jpg is used for the screen playback.
I have read long time ago that some GR users use a B&W preset to judge contrast / tonality of an image on-screen - while keeping the raw file as unadjusted.
What's interesting is that the camera will still playback these files with the preset applied as if there's a jpeg present in camera but not available. This gave me hope. Not a big deal as I was just playing. I'll have to create them myself.

I just did an experiment. I shot an image in hi contrast B&W but set the camera to shoot raw only. Of course, it shows on my computer as a 'regular' color image. I put the card back in the camera. Under the playback tab of the menus, I selected raw development. The camera developed a jpg with the hi contrast B&W settings. I see this as a great option when I forget to go from RAW to jpeg (which happens). Or, I can just process a set of RAWs in camera before transferring to the computer.
First time trying tripod shooting. It’s through a hotel window so there are some minimal reflections and dirt but I wanted to see how well this could work. I used a table top tripod in keeping with a minimal travel kit of the GR III.
