This is my first time shooting with flash using high speed sync. Not sure that I actually needed it in these two cases but I can really see the potential with this setup. I used my 7D mk ii, 70-200mm f/2.8 and a 24-70mm f/2.8 with a Flashpoint Streaklight 360 and the Phottix Odin II triggers in HSS mode. I realize there is plenty of room for improvement in using this setup.
1) This was with the 24-70mm, 1/800, f/4.0 at ISO 100.
2) This was with the 70-200, 1/640, f/4.0 at ISO 100.
Looks like a very nice location for portraits. Although not related to HSS, the skin tone of her face in the first image looks too orange....doesn't match her arm.
Nicely done. I like how you still used the sun as a backlight. While I think her skin in the first image is a bit orange, it does look to match her arm and it appears there's a slight orange tint to the image.
