I just got back from Transylvania county, NC. Did a lot of hiking looking for waterfalls. These are some of the shots i came back with, taken with the 1DX-II and the 16-35/4.
I was also able to shoot some wildlifeI found during my hiking using the 7D-II and the 100-400 (except for the frog).

Excellent shots per usual Socrate. Waterfalls look great, your choice of shutter speed is just right to my taste. Very minor nit, In the first one I'd probably tone down the brightness in the upper right foliage. Probably just personal taste, but try taking a little of the bottom of 2, 4, and 5 and see if you like them better. The frog and the deer are sweet, the darn hawk just didn't show before the light got tough!

Thanks for the comments and the suggestions, Robert. To my eyes seems to work better in #2 and #5 if you like pano-type cropping.
Definitely better toning down the brightness in the upper right foliage of the first one.
Glad you like the water rendition. I used to use a slower SS but I definitely like a faster one as it gives you a bit more detail in the water.

The last waterfall/home looks familiar. Did you post a similar shot year(s) past?
Thanks Ted. You have a very good memory Here it is. It was shot in Aug 2015 from a different angle. I like that place (is actually private property) so I went back to get more shots.

Thanks for the comments, Rohanban. The waterfall pics were taken all with a B&W polarizer and a 3 stop ND filter. I believe the slow SS made dull an already dull water

Very nice work Socrate. Looks like an incredibly productive trip. As nice as the waterfall and creek shots are, I think the frog might actually be my favorite. He's quite the character.
Super nice waterfalls and cascades Socrate. I really enjoyed them quite a bit. As others mentioned, the blur of water was done right. Frog pic is pretty neat too. For the B&W, you probably need to play with colour channels to get more separation between colours/tones. Excellent potential there in your images.
I don't know, people who can get these silky waterfall shots....beautiful and peaceful images which are quite different from what I expected from the land of Vlad the Impaler (US version).
