I debated just adding this one to Sylvie's ever updating thread, but I decided this one warranted a post of it's own. Our oldest has already moved out but drove down yesterday to visit and I decided this warranted an impromptu quick shoot of all 11 kids as I don't know when the opportunity will arise again. I sent my husband into town for a quick trip to grab some white T-shirts in various sizes, set up my (WAY too small) bone seamless in the garage, whipped out my Sigma 50mm art lens, and started rapid firing hoping to come up with something halfway decent.
I am SO THRILLED with how this came out - this is a treasure to me. Most of my editing wasn't done in swapping heads believe it or not, it was spent trying to fill in missing seamless paper. I've never liked messing with the huge rolls, but that sure would have been nice for this shoot.
These are my precious children. Ages and names from oldest to youngest are Clint Paul (19 in July), Calista Rose (17), Damien Arthur (15), Theron Drake (13), Adrian Marcus (10 in August), Quentin Alexander (9 in July), Camille Vivienne (8 in June), Octavia Susan (7 in June), Elliott Andrew (4 1/2), Gabriel Lucas (3 in June) and Sylvie Violet (5 weeks).
I'm usually more of an intermittent lurker; but this amazing, beautiful family required more than a quick glance. Kudos to you in every way for your familial accomplishment! And the photography isn't half bad either.
I don't think the seamless really matters anymore, given how beautiful the "crew" looks. On the technical side, the photo isn't perfect...but that doesn't mean it isn't for you. You should've had your husband in there too, floored out haha.
Thank you! I honestly only spent maybe 10 minutes shooting, the kids were being really cooperative and good, even the little ones. We promised them ice cream if they'd sit for a few minutes and let me get a picture of all of them together.

Pfft, 10 minutes and 100 shots i bet!
Getting eleven open eyes, eyes front, i call foul! 🙃
You need to order a nice A3 metal print on this one Lisa! Simple black extruded aluminum frame, off white matte please.
For those of us that do family portraits for a living, let me just say that your photo is really amazing. I think it is as near perfect as anyone could get it. What a beautiful bunch!
