I have also ordered the SanDisk 64GB 280MB/s memory card that Olympus recommends. Does anybody have video experience with that card in the E-M1.2 or E-M5.2? TIA.
K-H.
Yep. I can confirm that the Sandisk 64GB 280MB/s card writes video like a champ on the E-M1.2, however, since video doesn't need as much write speed as continuous shooting, I have the camera writing photos there, and video to a 95MB/s Transcend card.
I also have the Lexar 1000x, but I've relegated it to photo duties in my Pen-F.

Thank you Joseph indeed. Makes sense.
Can your SanDisk card sustain 18fps of shooting raw images without filling up the buffer? TIA.
I assume it does.

Yes, just have it a try, and it did not slow down at all at 18fps.
I like the photo for its simple, unobtrusive background and model's pose. However, I would have preferred to see a softer skin tone. Too much sharpness detail is sometimes detrimental in such situations.
I was booked to go to the Venice Mask Carnival with my 2 buddies including Joshua Ong but I pulled out at the 11th hour. Long story. I have no shoot planned until maybe this Fall to Yosemite. We plan on returning to Costa Rica in the 1st quarter of next year to shoot the Resplendent Quetzals - and more red-eyed tree frogs and hummingbirds.

Yeah great song Bobby.
Hey, where are your most recent trip pics?
I'm sure they are amazing.

Thank you for the feedback. I do prefer skin with texture, since skin has texture. Moreover, I fear the reaction from my wife if I made her look like a plastic Barbie doll. :-)
Finally closed on our new house a few days ago and had our blessing ceremony this weekend. Took the opportunity to use the Hi Res feature of the E-M1.2. Of course, it won't show in the web-sized images, but there is tons of detail in the 10368 x 7776 (80.6MP) files!
Why f8? I mean I realize that these pictures are not going into a competition but still? The lens is sharpest at f4 and at 12mm you get plenty of DOF even at f4.
Lovely and lavishly spacious new house that you have there, Mitesh! Hope you have enough bedrooms to put up with us when we come visit you! .
I am curious to know how an 80MP m43 file compares to a 42MP FF file. I am thinking the quality of the pixels/files from a FF sensor will be better and more malleable with less noise and better DR. Any thoughts/opinions on this?

I have to agree with this. The sweet spot of this lens I believe is f4. There will be some diffraction effects at f8. But I believe that Mitesh is wanting as much DOF as he can and you will get it at f8.

Hi Bobby,
Plenty of room, so come on over! I looked back at some a7rii files and I think these compare very favorably. I didn't manipulate these other than some contrast and highlight adjustments, so I can't speak to the malleability of the files. Is there any specific way to present equivalent crops for comparison? I can also send you RAW files for you to look at and comment on.

Probably just my old habits from shooting FF. Good point to remember next time.
