^that image says 1000 words Bobby but you know I'm in that quasi grey zone still using both systems depending on the venue. But last month when we flew to Panama for the Harpie I didn't even think about taking my 500; 600 would be way out of the equation for me. The DOii was my choice.
But don't bring money into the equation! Most of my friends/co-workers would grimace at even the $4500 Oly kit
Now back to the Oly menus that I hated long ago. Now that I've taken a serious stab I'm actually feeling kinda good about them and honestly loving the customization which is beyond any other camera I've used. I've even built a Myset profile to C1 for things that are moving---so an old doggy can learn new tricks!

Honestly, would you rather spend $17,500 for the Canon combo vs $4,500 for the Olympus combo ... and schlepp around a 12-lb camera+lens + a heavy-duty Gitzo + Wimberley Gimbal Head rather than the 4.5-lb Olympus combo with or w/o a lightweight tripod? And how would you get this on the plane?
You must have missed what I wrote: ...... if I was doing that and did not care how much gear I had to set up, .....
And I must have missed the part where I said I was getting on a plane.
there are two type of people, the one that will appreciate technology, alternative to make life better. For m4/3 system, EM1 mkii is a big jump already. Be grateful instead being a whining ass. Imagemaster is the other type. Ego-centrism, attention hunger. Just ignore him. He will open new thread about his new EM1 mkii like he did with so many times in Canon forum. Wait a min, he already did. lol

Right on. Great to have so many options. I could not find out why I couldn't write "RAW only" to my cards from reading through the Oly manuals. An online search lead me to the Super Control Panel > Picture Mode. The mode was set at Vivid (not by me that I know of), which prevents RAW from being selected. Once I changed that to Natural, the RAW option was restored.
It will probably be worth it (for me) to buy this book when it is available:
You know that Canon is working on a 600/4 DO lens, right?

You are a wise old doggy. Unfortunately most old dogs can't seem to learn new tricks!

One only has to go through the 48 pages of this thread to see how much BubbleBoy has contributed to it compared to other members. Seems he appears around page 46 or so, just so he can post sarcastic and derogatory comments about another member. No contribution of helpful links, first-hand comments on using the camera, and no actual images from the camera.
Makes one wonder what his motive is, doesn't it?
He also seems to think is inappropriate for a member to post comments and images about a new camera to inform other members that may not have acquired that model yet.
Hey ... I am using an Arca-Swiss Monoball Z which is one of the best ballheads. I started with the original lock-up prone AS Monoball more than 10 years ago, tried various other ballheads, and I am happy to be back with them.

I'm foolish with money but not Arca-Swiss brand name foolish.
This one with the detachable/adjustable flange is pretty cool - so you can use it with our w/o the flange on any camera - and the slot at the bottom right end allows you to use/attach a hand strap:
