What I don't like about the Mark II so far. Taking into account that I have always used Canon.
1. Right strap lug is located in an assinine position, regardless of where the memory card door is.
2. Memory card door is mickey=mouse.
3. Paperback manual is really lame, and downloadable PDF one is not much better. My paperback copy has references to pages 40-71, yet the English instructions only go to page 35. Really helpful.
4. Too many menus and buttons and knobs to change simple options.
5. Side notes: Olympus makes a 1.4x TC, but it only works with certain lenses Oly does not have a 400mm prime or zoom....Show more →
I like the fact that the right strap lug is out of the way. The placement on the X-T2 dug into my finger and I hated that to grip the camera my hand had to be split between index and middle finger.
I haven't noticed the memory card door, though I seems to be a common complaint.
The lack of manual is silly, I agree. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how to turn on the AF boxes for C-AF.
I like having a lot of menus and knobs. Being able to control shutter and aperture and with a quick flick control exposure comp and ISO makes shooting easier for me. Infinitely easier than Sony and for me easier to operate than Fuji.
The 1.4x TC works with long lenses, the 40-150 and the 300. Which other lenses would you expect it to work with? The 12-100? I don't know of any TC that works with a super zoom.

For me, it is too close to the Fn1 button, the rear dial, and the Movie button. It is so annoying that I will change to a Black Rapid strap and attach to the tripod socket.

Yeah, maybe when I figure out how at what to assign to different buttons or knobs, it will be easier.

I would expect it to work with nearly every 4/3 lens made by Olympus. Canon and Nikon 1.4cx TC's work with nearly all their lenses, including their super zooms. So do their 2x TC's. So why can't Oly do the same?

I haven't used any TC before with Canon so I don't want to sound like an expert. But this chart on B&H shoes.that the Canon 1.4x works with their 70-200, their 135, and a few others. Not all their lenses.
Also in the mirrorless game the Fuji TC only works with their 50-140 and their 100-400. Panasonic doesn't even make one. And Sonys crazy $550 1.4x and $550 2x concertos work with exactly one lens... Their 70-200 2.8 GM. A $550 TC that works with exactly one lens. Doesn't even work with their 70-200 f/4.
Except that the pl 100-400 is a native m4/3 lens and is therefor a compatible alternative on the Olympus bodies. Most of us intermix Olympus and Panasonic lenses at will.

You just realized this now? Do more research next time then.
Now what is your problem I realized it before now and simply stated a fact.
Beg your pardon, I thought we were allowed to state facts on these forums. So what if Pany makes a compatible 100-400? That does not mean Oly can't makes a better version.

A FEW others There are 20 lenses on that chart. Quite a few more than Olympus.
Yes and those 20 lenses are different from ALL of their lenses. As I stated you have the 135, some primes, some 70-200, and long lenses. The Olympus TC works on their long lenses. Right now there's 2. Olympus has a lot shorter history than Canon.
Panasonic has 0 TC. Fuji's work with 2 lenses. Sony works with 1. Can't fault Olympus for theirs.
I'm with you on that decision. We have both. Poof has missed shots because of the limited FOV at 300 and while she's hunting I zoom in and get the shot. Once on a boardwalk in Florida to zoom with her feet she'd have had to swim

I would get the P/L 100-400 before that just because it is more versatile.
It's hard to argue against the advantages of a zoom but that extra fstop of the prime is pretty important in lower light, especially with a smaller sensor.
IwasJoeking, how can we win unless we get both!
Imagemaster I think we have a lot in common, in that we are both advancing in our inability to tote the heavies? I hesitate to imbed this since not related and in competition (though in 99% of ways there is no competition), but there is yet another alternative- https://www.flickr.com/photos/medicineman4040/31502468762/in/dateposted/
It is wrong to judge people eh? But after a while we kinda get to know people's personalities that post and some (methinks you) will have a hard time with the offerings of the mFT sensor....but I've played the part of the fool before.
You know what the M5 and the 400/5.6 will give you and what it can't.
Anyway, just saying
That said I need the PL 50-200mm....that would make a nice spring '17 surprise!
