Thanks Fred! I have suggested a meeting at SJWS on Monday morning, July 3. Would you like to join us there? If you prefer, maybe we can meet at Bolsa Chica instead.

Bobby,
Meeting at SJWS on July 3 works for me. Does about 7:30am work? If not, I can be there whatever time you decide.
It will really help if seasoned birding/action photographers like @imagemaster and @Mitesh and others can make a new thread "EM1.2 🐦 Birding/action settings" or guide us in this thread only.
I will thank you guys everyday if I could learn how to use continuous AF on this camera...
I'm not in their league but I do shoot a lot of BIF's with the EM1.2 and 300f4 or 50-200 both sometimes with teleconverter. Aside from being able to follow the bird (just takes practice but some say the Red Dot sight helps), here are some of my tips:
I shoot with regular CAF, low speed burst at 10fps, usually with silent shutter except for really fast movers ie: hummingbirds or if buildings are in the background while panning.
For low flying birds where there's a busy background I use five focus points, for birds in the sky either nine points or all points for really fast movers like swallows. This tracks surprisingly well! For swallows I also turn off IBIS although I leave it on otherwise.
I set the focus limiter so I can see at least a blurry bird as soon as I see them, otherwise they may be too far out of focus to show.
I have CAF Lock at zero, I'm not confident about changing the default.
I use shutter priority and as fast a speed as possible without going over ISO 1600 or so. Feather detail diminishes with higher ISO.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something but this should be a good start.
Bob
Rumor is strong that it will be a 17/1.2. No one knows what the other lens could be. I did buy the 25/1.2 for the Venice Mask Carnival last February but I return it because I've had to cancel that trip.

Which lenses do you predict?
17 and perhaps 45 ?
Do you own 25 Pro?
