I had a back and forth conversation with Olympus support about the fact that it's not possible to use the IOShare application to control the camera in Live View mode and be able to use the high-res setting. They finally admitted that they have gotten that request a number of times and also forwarded my emails further up the chain. Apparently to make it work they not only need to update the app, but add a bunch of things to each cameras firmware that has the high-res mode. When or if it will be added they had no idea.
Sorry missed this.
Mitesh no chance to use them as i have been busy. Am looking forward to shooting some.
Pen F looks like a nice cam. And my EM1.2 is also arriving *very* soon.
I am curious ... whom did you order the camera from? From a store in the USA, Hong Kong, Japan or India?

@bobbytan@ posted shots of OMs somewhere in this thread or elsewhere.
When they launched OM 4Ti, they advertised the camera in magazine double spreads. In one of the campaigns they pitched the camera as a completely manual tool where the photographer is in charge. The whole thing was a bit psychological as it played with ethics/guilt/job/duty as a theme.
On the left were photojournalistic shots of hunger, war etc, and on the right side there was this beautifully calligraphed copy.
I had read those ads some 10-15 years ago and they left quite an impression on me, their starkness etc. I couldn't find those ads anywhere on the net (if someone finds pls post) but I still remember the copy that went with one of the ads. What terrific writing !
"Cries of emaciated children mingle with the hacking coughs of their parents. And you want to vomit, the smell is so awful. But instead you pick up your camera and clip on a flash gun. As your eyes become accustomed to the dark, a picture of grief and suffering is revealed that makes you step backwards. Are you stepping backwards to frame the shot better? Or are you consumed with guilt and anger?"
Thanks Bobby, excellent observation.
That thread should be cross listed, same as the Sony FE images thread is on Sony and Alternative.
So I will report my post to accomplish that.
K-H.
PS: As it would not allow me to report myself, I reported your thread, pointing to my thread.
Good news.
My EM1.2 is finally here. Tomorrow in my hand
India is going through implementing a new tax regime which was the reason it made such an unusually late entry.
Nice! The E-M1.2 is a real speed demon. You will be impressed by what it can do. BIF is another story. It's not like the Nikon D500, but if you have sufficient BIF skill set, it can be done. It's just that much harder ... okay, it's a real struggle ... for those with zero to little BIF experience ... like me.
