Just saying thanks Bobby !!
We'll update as soon as possible but a trim is looming and abs. zero time
to do anything except get packed up/it's my work week until we take off.
But I'm not complaining about M1ii performance as is......but being selfish
I wonder if the firmware update will help my M1ii and the PL100-400

Don't forget to do the firmware update for your E-M1.2 + 300/4 + 12-100/4.
The fast moving tip of the Hummer's left wing must have been readout from the sensor at the same downward speed.
In other words, as the image of the wing tip moved downwards in the sensor from row to row, this very same sensor row was readout by the rolling silent shutter, no?
Bobby I am shopping for NDs and PLs.
What ND strengths make most sense:
6 stop + 10 stop
3 or 4 stop + 6 stop
Any other combination?
I am buying this for landscapes/long exposures.
Most my lenses that I will use with filters are 72mm (12-100, a Sony 16-35 in future, Canon 35L). Was wondering if its prudent to buy 77mm size with a step up ring or the fitting size itself.
I will buy breakthrough X4 filters because they are available here. They seem good.
I use a Variable ND filter. A variable ND filter will allow you to focus first and then dial up the intensity/darkness. There are a lot of different brands out there and they do vary in quality - so you need to do some research - do a Google search for variable ND filter reviews/ratings/comparison. I have a couple of different ones but I don't remember which ones ... and frankly, I rarely use them!
Because the filter sizes are different with different lenses, you may want to get the larger size and order a brass step-up ring to use on the smaller diameter lens.

I picked up an EM-1 Mark II and 300 PRO with 1.4x TC a couple of weeks before my India Tigers trip mostly to augment the main kit of 5D4 + 100-400 II. I ended up using the EM-1 a ton and having a high quality, light weight hand holdable kit that got me out to 600mm equiv. and 840mm equiv. was amazing. The dual sync stabilization was also incredible, and the quality of the hand held video at those focal lengths far exceeded my expectations.

If you plan to visit Corbett, do stay in Dhikala KMVN lodge. They got the best location but its difficult to get.
Kanha: Shergarh lodge
Bandhavgarh: Skays camp, tala (Satyendra Tiwari)

Great shots Aravind, may I ask who you booked your trip through? I'm planning a trip in December there. Which park(s) did you visit?
Update:
So my lenses are coming tomorrow, the 300, the 12-100 and MC-14
Have ordered a Pen F with a Panasonic 20/1.7 as well. I won't have a EM1.2 for maybe a month, so Pen F will do the duty.
The Pen-F is a very capable and handsome camera. Great point-and-shoot or street/PJ camera with the 20/1.7 lens.

Congrats, Anurag! looking forward to seeing your first images and reading your initial impressions of the Pen-F and the lenses. I'm sure it's a great camera, but I bet you'll really be impressed when your E-M1.2 arrives!
