I watch the International Space Station fly over often. It's only view-able at night. I've tried to photo it many many 100's of times. Last night I got photos that shows the solar panels with the ISS between. The photo is small, but the ISS is a very tiny dot in the viewfinder. You guys may not appreciate this, but it's a big acomplishment to me.

Charles, oh I appreciate it tremendously as I dabble in astronomy (have an 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain scope), at times.
Was the camera on a gimble as the ISS does move across the sky pretty quickly? The best instance I've seen was when the Space Shuttle undocked from the ISS and was still in the same orbit. You can see one lagging/leading the other with the naked eye!

I used a heavy Manfrotto tripod and gimble head to track it across the sky. I have not seen any 'from land' photos that are any more than either a dot or the arch as it treks across the sky. Last night it passed high 88* and was visible for about 5 minutes. I watch it often. BTW, to the west at sunset last night and tonight the moon lines with Venus and Mars. easy to see just after sunset.
Thanks for asking, keep watching and looking up there! Fun
Nice KFIFWC TM See if you can figure out that acronym
Was out testing 200-500 with or without TC today. Found a raven on my walk home.....it created a lot of steam at -20C with its breathe resulting in the foggy effect over its lower body....
