When jets fly close to supersonic speed and if air humidity is right, you will see this phenomenon. The F-22 that day developed a full vapor cone but I only captured the rear 2/3 of the jet wrapped in vapor cone but the front 1/3 jet was not in the frame, Decking out the Sigma S all the way to 600mm on a crop sensor will fill./over fill the frame easily. The jet was flying so fast that even the push/pull zooming of the Sigma S did not let me adjust quickly enough.
