Some family was over for dinner last night and here are a couple of random photos from the night. I recently downloaded Silver Efex Pro 2, and this was my first attempt using it. It seems pretty strong, but I definitely need some time to refine things. Any C&C is very welcomed, on the photos, editing, etc.
Feeling is mutual David. I haven't been very active of late... some just being busy and some probably due to a feeling that there is a lot less FPJ on the boards and some of my favorites, you included haven't been posting as much.
They are all great but I am partial to the first with the four great expressions and the magnificent clutter. The tones are very nice. It is a very transparent moment--the scene is paramount--while the last shot is terrific but more of a trick of perspective.
Good stuff! especially 3. I am a sucker for straight lines (I know many don't care), so I would have tried to shoot from lower and straight on (and/or used lightroom's "upright" feature )
