That first shot is just epic! I could go on some vision quests in that setting

Rohanban - glad you like it. I'm still not sure which is my favorite. However I can see why our first nation American Indians called this place sacred.

Dave,
As everyone has stated, Three Very Fine Shots. Excellent work. #1 and #3 for me. By the way, I believe the correct spelling in Navajo is Tsé Bitʼaʼí
Wise Tioga - thanks. I'm at the mercy of the references on this. Most internet sites refer to it as Tse Bi Dahi but that does not make it correct (probably just makes it type-able on American keyboards). I see that Wikipedia uses Tsé Bitʼaʼí, and their articles are usually well vetted. So I expect you are right.
All three images are outstanding. However, I'm immediately drawn to the last image. My eyes are immediately drawn to the color in the sky and the vast and wide landscape.
You know.. I have never been to this Shiprock but surely it is majestic. Perhaps it will go to my bucket list. When I have a chance to visit Bisti, this Shiprock must be included. Thanks for sharing, Dave.
Out of three wonderful and strong images, I have difficulty in choosing one between the first and the last image. For now.. I would go for the last one. It has a "wow" factor! However.. In terms of articulation.. the first one is the winner!
Lovely images, and hard to pick a favourite but #1 and #3 are my choice. I especially like the square format of #1. I've been there myself, but my efforts are pathetic by comparison - it's a surprisingly difficult subject, and the closer you get, the less inpressive it looks.
Your first image is simply splendid. I relish the dark tones of the mountain and how they compliment and yet simultaneously compete for attention with the sky. Nicely done. - BLR
