My dear aunt suffer from Alzheimer's. She is an incredibly strong and amazing woman who left South Africa for Canada during the height of the apartheid regime. My family has her to thank for being our trailblazer.
Thanks for your thoughts chuck. There were less melancholy shots but this one just spoke to me as being true to my aunt as I have always known her, alzheimer's or not. Could also be my feelings about her presents situation that lend themselves to a more somber mood. Either way I am trying to portray her with the utmost respect.
Marvelous work. I keep coming back to look at it. The wind blown curtain adds so much and it's color -wow! And then there is the doll on the couch that brings the arc and depth of the life and times of your family matriarch. A work of art and family heirloom. Well done!
