Not my favourite style personally, but despite my prejudice I like #1 and #2 the most. I bet I would have liked them even more if you hadn't mentioned using a long lens! :P
I think the two I mentioned capture the image of tired crowds and a swarming city well and it reminded me of a scene from one of my favourite movies (and awesome inspiration for photography), "The Grand Illusion" in Koyaanisqatsi. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the feedback Lydecker and the movie info, I'll check it this weekend.
For this kind of photography personally I don't use short lenses, I never point with my camera/lens to a person.
The guy was waving his hand smiling and saying "hello" :-)
