I admit, I’m a little crazy about grand vista gooseneck canyon bend locations. Here is one of my favorites.

I was surprised, and felt proud when this came in the mail this week. The first contest I have ever entered.
Feel free to follow me on FACEBOOK if you want. A lot of exciting things for 2016 going on... If you do, I would appreciate it if you hit the "like" button there.
Isn't that Horseshoe Bend?
Mark, you could very well publish a book on river bend erosion from the Southwest. This one is as good as the others... Congrats!
So that's what an 11mm Gand Scenic looks like? Not a lot of these around. I love the slightly stretched out feel here, works perfect with this kind of terrain. BTW, congrats to you for locating this scene in a area that is not known for its vistas. That's the perfect sky for this 11mm scene too.
Another remarkable horseshoe-bend! And with great colors. There seems to be an unending supply of these if one knows where to look. Few years ago I was only aware of the the "usual" one. Live and learn
Congrats on the Honorable Mention in the American Landscape contest. I am not one for contests really, but entered the same contest in 2013 and got 2 finalist photos and got those photos published so I know how great you must feel.
This bend is pretty nice, it reminds me of a similar photo you posted a few months ago. That location certainly has some great photos in it.
