P. S. I'm against terminating this thread explicitly on June 22nd or any other date; I believe there may be other folks like myself who are still sorting/posting the shots from the spring season.
The transition from spring to summer, from school to school holidays, is marked by the end of term school play: 5D + 24-70mm f/4L IS via an Apple iPhone.
They always seem to do these performances in the darkest, most dingy cellars they can find, so i am always surprised at how many people wave around their phones in the hope of getting viewable video footage. I take my monopod and only just manage acceptable stills....

You would be surprised. My Samsung Galaxy S5 simply destroys my 1D IV for video. I mean as long as you don't need to zoom and don't care for shallow DOF, the smartphones can be phenomenal for video. I'm just finishing uploading a video from the event I shot yesterday for a municipality I work with. As far as I'm concerned - the quality is wonderful - just shaky - as you would expect from a light device and the fact I had to do shooting as well.
