I haven't been around much but have managed to keep up with the posts on this thread. I'll say it again, the seasonal threads are my favourites here on FM due to variety and personal tastes. Kudos all! What little shooting I've done this spring usually involved chasing wildlife so the other night I opted for pairing my old Nikkor-S 55mm f/1.2 with my trusty 7D2. This allowed me to have a lot of fun in the garden and, of course, everything was shot wide open.
Some more shots from the "Crazy Weekend" (at and around the city's birthday, May 27th). Finally. I got a photo of this beautiful warbler. There's a local wetland I visit when 1) I get up too late to hit some other spots. 2) don't have much time or 3) too lazy to go out farther. I've heard this warbler everytime I've visited the wetland in the spring/summer and have seen it once or twice. Ont this day, I was about to pack it in, but decided to check out the water to see if I'd see any beavers and something yellow flashed by. I thought it was a gold finch, but my trusty binoculars spotted this handsome fella. I spent some time or rather he spent some time with me. I took tons of photos, just in case I never get another shot.
