^^^ Geoff, they're all awesome, but the first one is spectacular! Wish I had more interesting subjects to offer, but I suppose the goslings and ducklings do have a certain cuteness to them .
More rainy irises, with a 500D closeup lens (I'm hoping to avoid carrying a dedicated macro lens on a long plane trip)...
And, a sunny afternoon look at the young Queen Anne's Lace and daisies on my "lawn".

If somebody told me yesterday the hated concert photography rule "photos shall be taken only during first three songs" was in effect, I'd be happy. In case of Hans Zimmer, the rule was "photos shall be taken only during first song". That meant less than 9 minutes of shooting. At least we got to watch afterwards and it was great!
A little bit overexposed at places, there really wasn't time to dramatically check and adjust settings. And I have no problem admitting - this was mostly spraying and praying.

Yes, I drove up late afternoon. There was about an inch of snow around Newfound Gap mostly on the northern exposures but the Clingman's Dome Road was closed and the morning report shows 3" on Mt. LeConte this morning.
