What happens when you use a cheap ring light flash that does not have all the Canon pinouts? The live view tilt screen no longer works with flash, thats what. Ouch, my aching back:
It didn't go well for the Bouchard-less Canadian team, but you'll be back. I'll be posting photos from Sunday later today. We were in the regional zones in 2005/2006 I think, that was quite a fall after we won the whole thing in 2002.
Fed Cup World Group 2 play off - Slovakia vs. Canada, Sunday's matches. Slovakia won the entire tie 3:2. Canada was relegated to regional competiton, while Slovakia stayed in world group 2. Next year, Canada has to win their American regional group to advance back to World Group 2. Slovakia has to win 2 rounds (February and April) of World Group 2 to advance to World Group 1 and thus to be able to compete for the trophy in 2018...

After briefly trying out the 24/2.8 IS today on the Sony a7R, I can just as highly recommend it on the Sony as the results I've previously gotten on the Canon bodies (specifically, head-to-head comparison against 24 TSE II). It has really great sharpness and detail, and the IS comes through using inexpensive AF adapter. AF is not really feasible on the cheaper AF adapters, but all other electronic functions are perfect, just becomes a manual focus lens, which is fine by me as the camera has terrific MF tools through the viewfinder. Just thought you'd like to know!
Looking forward to testing out the 35/2 IS, but I expect it will perform with similar stellar results.
Also had terrific results manual focusing the 50/1.2 L with the same set-up. I'll show those separately.
