Tareq,
Thanks for your comment,
You can't go wrong with Zeiss SLR lenses with the A7RII but the new native Zeiss Loxia line brings the same color and contras signature in a much smaller form.

The f/8 image was focused near infinity. The smaller aperture capture was mainly used for the foreground rocks and sky. (It was a very long exposure)

In certain situations, a tilt and shift lens is not the best choice. This is a good example where I would not use tilt to increase DOF as a lot of the scene would be out of the tilted focus plane and therefore out of focus.. Aperture stack is just an alternative way to focus stack and imo, yields a more natural rendering....Show more →
It is about what is good about this lens over another lenses from Canon for example?
Hi Fred. If you don't mind me asking, did you do heavy postproduction on these or just simple raw editing? I'm noob and it baffles me how to achieve great colors like these (in addition to the composition of course).
Wow !! These both are amazing....
I like the movement captured in the clouds and water in the first image and accumulation of the snow on the rocks..waiting for its inevitable fate and become part of the water body....
The color and clarity of both is excellent. Very well photographed, but the extra light at the horizon and the horizontal wide angle seal the deal for photo 1 as my vote. Way to go Fred!
