FINALLY after 4 years later I have a fresh batch of winter photos from Yosemite National Park that actually has snow! My buddy and I drove at 1am for 3.5hrs to start our 1-day-only-blitz of this beautiful park. For morning sunrise we originally planned Tunnel View, but the parking lot wasn't plowed and all the sides were full of snow, so we decided to go to 3 Brothers. Only we messed up the wrong beach and missed 3 Brothers sunrise. Although our mistake did allow us to capture this gorgeous scene. The snow was at least a 1.5 ft thick and trekking through was tiring but fun. When we first got there the mountain was invisible, just covered in white fog. After a while, the mountain began to appear subtly and fading in and out like an illusion. I think, this is the backside of the brothers.
Techy stuff: This is a 9 shot pano ( I probably could have used less shots but I'm usually super cautious). Stitched in Adobe PS CC and minimal processing. Just some level adjustments and slight D/B.
This is sure a very cool take, the way the snow bank mimics the rock is sweet. I like the mystery in this, and there is just nothing like fresh snow in Yosemite and the only foot prints are the ones you make.
Thanks everyone! Seeing that much snow in the valley was wonderful and sorely missed.

Nice imaging, again, Jason. You were there for some real snow. I was there the previous week. Get some snowshoes and stay longer next time!
Thanks Jeffrey. My schedule just couldn't squeeze more days. How I wish I could've stayed one more. Snow shoes is on my to buy list
Oh, the delightful wee-hour entry into the park. I'm not proud at all to say that I haven't paid entry fees the last 2-3 times I've visited Yosemite, because I entered the park at ~4 AM, and exited at ~midnight the following night. Don't worry, I'll make up for it by actually entering the park at a decent hour next week, I hope, and purchasing an annual pass again. I also need to seriously reconsider my overall travel plans so that I can get at least a little bit more sleep in such 36 hour periods. It's a long 6-7 hr drive from So Cal...
Nice shot, a beautiful expression of the conditions. We were hoping for snow on our trip last week. It was forecast for two of the four days but never happened.
