Ha, I didn't notice that in the EXIF. Yes, they were close. At one point they came over and sat in the shade of the Land Rover next to us, the lion flicking his tail restlessly. When they purr, they sound like gas generators.
well done. The photos brough me back in time. I lived in South Africa for two years in the late 70's and had the privilege of going to many of the parks like Kruger National and seeing the wildlife up close. It leaves quite the impression. Oddly the most feared animals are not lions but the Cape Buffalo. It seems they go berserk once in a while and even crush small cars.
The predator will always eat organs first, then flesh, as that is the most nutri-tious, a little lesson for us humans. Great set, and look forward to your images as photographer for Africa Yoga Project NGO team
There is no place (IMHO) to cleanse the soul and heal the mind and body like Africa....your images are wonderful and can only imagine what the others from those places less wild will be like. Thanks for sharing your story and the photos that resulted.
