I am REALLY hoping those are real and aren't fake. Been wanting to get a second camera so I don't have to keep swapping lenses and was debating about the D750 so I'd keep both cameras FX. Going to have to wait and see untouched RAWs now before making my decision.
Very impressive. Without direct comparisons, it's tough to really say how good it is, but it certainly looks promising. I might have to get out that NPS number tomorrow after all...
B&H is saying that they expect to ship some D500's out on Apr 21, but that those will all go to NPS members. They won't begin shipping to others until May 3rd

As a pro, it's a game changer for me as well. I was all set to buy a D5 (and may still), but the truth is, I think the D500 would be better for my wildlife pursuits.
BTW - I don't think the camera body determines if someone is a pro - getting paid for the photos does.
Nikon USA started shipping D500 cameras to authorized dealers in the US. There are some reports that the D500 has been delayed in Europe till June, but at this point I cannot confirm this - my guess is that the first shipment has already been sold out and nobody expects the D500 to be in stock before June.

Some Canadian dealers have the D500 already, they just aren't allowed to sell it until the official release date.
Which is apparently the 26th.
Talking to my store they said they'll have enough to fill all the pre-orders and still have them left over for through the door sales, demos, and rentals.

Yup, shouldn't be a big issue, at least not up here. Sounds like Nikon did a decent job with production. Everything should be pretty well on time as expected.
