thank you all for the nice compliments. It did manage to snatch a little bird as I was pulling into the parking lot. Wasn't quick enough to get a shot off. The rest of the afternoon was just hunting without any catch.

Very nice collection of action postures, Thang--way beyond the usual straight wing glides. Best I have ever seen for this bird.

Nice shots! From my experience, with female harriers it can be tough to capture the shadows in the plumage while not clipping the whites in the tails. Nicely done.

thank you every. Yeah, it was a blast photographing this juvie for 3 hours. Unfortunately the water district cleared the all the grasses from the pond. So the harrier has moved on to other spots in the area.
