The eye cup piece keeps falling off, we lost one of them on one of our D750's. I was just wonder what's out there besides the stock piece? Since I have to order one, are there bigger / better ones than the stock?

There's several options I've tried:
- DK-21M magnifying eypiece. Direct swap but same mechanism, so likely to lose this as well.
- DK-22 round adapter + Nikon round eyepiece. I used this for awhile and it's great. Very secure.
- DK-22 round adapter filed down and modded to fit the DK-17M magnifying eyepiece + DK-19 rubber eyecup. My current setup. It's very secure, I get great magnification, and a rubber eyecup. Works awesome on a bright sunny day.

Do you really need it? This used to happen on my D600 and in the end I just left it off. Even though I wear glasses, I've found it doesn't make a difference (other than it no longer being a bother ).

This one is tough to get off. It adds a lot of stability when taking shots. I still like to take my glasses off to use it even though they say it's for leaving them on. Only downside is that it gets in the way of the rear display because of its size, but I don't use it too much.

I improved the eyepiece on my D750 by selling it and buying a Df. Seriously, if the VF is a big deal to you as it is to me, I'd replace the camera. Plenty of bodies out there with round finders (D800, 810, Df, D4...) I got tired of losing the eyepiece attachment and I couldn't use it "bare" because I wear glasses..... so I sold it. Problem solved.
