Congratulations to Fred Miranda for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 7 votes - View Previous Winners
Here are a couple more shots from my recent trip to Grand Canyon. I hope you like it.
Taken with a Sony A7RII and 28/2, 55/1.8 lenses.
(Exposure settings are not correct as these were bracketed shots)
Two fine images, with your usual excellent control of dynamic range. Funny how you are right that this is the East Rim when most people only know of the North and South rims.
Fred,
Great photos. Even though the 2nd has more color, I prefer the 1st for the great depth & the subtle light on the river.
I so want to get back to the GC

Thanks Jeff!
I call it East Rim but technically it should still be South Rim since it's just a 20-min detour to the east side. Perhaps it should be South-East Rim.
Just outstanding compositions Fred! The detail on the walls of the rocks, the striations...at sunset(?)..this camera really does well with detail.
Excellant!

PS Please post a "Review" in the Sony review section......compare with 5DRs?
Lovely pictures! The first is a bit over the top for my personal taste, but that's very subjective. I absolutely love the second one because of the play of light and shadows on the rocks.

Hopefully I will get the two cameras side by side soon. Thanks for your kind words!
