I prefer the vertical version only because in the landscape image the right half of the image/icicles aren't catching the beautiful sunlight and color.

Both of these shots are very well done Scott. To pick a favorite would be difficult, however, I would lean to the first. Thanks for sharing the camera set up as well.
Being a Florida boy, I think I might be staying inside!! This is way cool. Just love how the icicles capture the light. And thanks for including your set up. Very informative.
