i think the left part of the image is where the real magic is. the right side would be interesting if the left side werent dominating the whole show. as it stand the right side is a distraction.
did you get any other comps of just the left side?
Thank you Aaron and Tyler. I did take a couple images. The light changed fast and was not as good in the 2nd image I just added to the OP.
I have to say, I like the 2nd shot (portrait) better even though the light wasn't as strong. I really like the first one, but the right side is a little messy and the light is dull. The portrait shot really focuses on the best parts of the scene. All IMHO of course!
The BTS is cool, I never would have thought to invert the camera...I am so opposed to using the center column I have removed mine...this makes for good reason to keep it around...
I love that you show the camera position! Did you have to remove the center column and turn it upside down for this?? I took my center column out, oopsie--guess I should put it back on!
Honestly I believe this is some of your best work, with the vertical slightly edging out the landscape shot IMO. Beautiful light that was really well seen and captured. I feel like I could just walk right into this scene and it would be exactly as you have presented it here. Great work!
Thank you all so much! I really appreciate all the feedback/comments.
Very interesting to see how prefers which image. Me, I do prefer the landscape as it was my pick of the 3 images of this scene I took. I have one more similar to #1 but less right and no rock in the bottom corner. In the end, this comp is the one that held my attention the most.
