I had a nice secret location all to myself yesterday. The recent rains and snow have driven many away. So finally, just me and these guys.. They could relax some.

An amazing amount of gnats were circling them, as you can see. You would think cold weather would do them in, but no...

Craig you have a wonderful talent for post processing. These have a very peaceful and amazing look to them in the soft light you had to work with. Every detail is there to be appreciated.

#1 looks like they stepped right into your outdoor studio

#2 that is a lot of good eye contact to get from three animals!
#3 the eye on the one on the right looks a bit spooky

Wonderful feel and captures............

Very nice set, Craig. Love the background in the first. Looks as though the big guy is an instructor for butting lessons to the young.

I was happy I found them, as I haden't seen any bighorns for quite a while.

As far as the background in #1. I thank Steve Perry for giving me tips on being conscious of those elements in the framing... Thanks to his wildlife eBook.

Wonderful set.
The clarity and the way you froze the action is amazing.
Reminds me of being 8 years old and seeing these incredible environmental dioramas of animals from the western US, a place I could only dream about as a wide-eyed kid in the American Museum of Natural History in NYC
In case it may not sound like a compliment to you, I mean this as a huge compliment to the surreal quality of these shots.

Sweet set Craig. I especially like the last one for it's look of two different habitats. And I agree with uintaangler about the diorama look, particularly the first one.
