I just want to be the first to say how much I love her freckles and your processing to show them off. Everyone else can just get in line behind me.
Great portraits, beautiful work. A little variety would improve the set IMO; in every single shot she is holding something and has a deadpan stare at the camera (except the slight smirk in #3, but still straight at the camera).
Thank you MJRobinson! I agree RE the variety. These were taken during a workshop I was teaching so I was doing more instructing than shooting, but am happy with what I was able to grab. I did tell mom I'd love to work with her one on one sometime soon, she was a great little girl to photograph.
Ahhh ok, that totally makes sense that you would get a lot of similar poses with the model if you were teaching. Of course you would still end up with this beautiful stuff while not even trying haha!
Beautiful images. The warm tones are wonderful and I prefer the color images in terms of feeling to the two black and whites (which are very well executed). She has a subtlety of expression. The crooked smile in #3 is priceless and feel like joy in comparison to her more somber or neutral takes. Very easy to view and will look great printed and framed.
After you mentioned the freckles, that was all I could see. I had to go back to really get a feel for the images. They're all great, but the first and last stand out for me. Really superb work!
