p.1 #1 · Capturing my daughter playing in the woods
Had some fun with my daughter this past weekend while we still have some leaves and color in New England. Have been following this thread for a long time and have posted a few things here or there in the past. This board has been a great inspiration to me. I just do this as a hobby since I work full time, but this brings me such joy...and I just love learning new things and techniques from watching everyone else's work on here.

These are excellent and I know more than a few parents who would pay handsomely for pictures like this of their own kids. Well done!
Thanks for the kind words. Appreciate it.

These are really splendid portraits. Great job. I love your processing and that expression you captured in #3 is just priceless.
I have no idea the circumstances surrounding the shoot, and maybe her outfit was very intentional, but I did want to mention that I think maybe something a little less distracting might help bring more attention to your beautiful daughter's face...or maybe more relatable to the fall season. Don't get me wrong, though, you did an awesome job. I just think I spent more time studying her knitwear than observing the fun/joy that she is showing!

I completely agree with you about the outfit. It was intentional due to the fact that it was given to me as a gift (hand knit) and I just wanted to let the person who gave it to us know that we love it. I agree that something less distracting and not as bold would have worked much better. With the amount of time I had to do this that day there was no chance of a wardrobe change or anything like that with her. She's at that age now that I'm lucky I managed to capture these...lol
Thank you for the comment though, this is how I learned to shoot. All the comments and advice I have gotten on this forum has helped me immensely over the past few years as I started to take pictures. Thanks again.
