Zowee Pow! This is more like a Hubble shot than an earthbound shot. Were you east of the Cascade Mts?
Well, it depends on how you count.
My imaging equipment is located in the South Australia desert; I access it through the internet, telling it what I want it to do. This object is never visible from as far north as I live; it's fun to have skies that are clearer than Seattle (although, truth be told, South Australia has had a really bad six month stretch of weather), and really nice to have a different sky there than here (the southern sky has more fabulous objects than our northern sky, I think).
