Congratulations with the twins! It will eventually get easier.. when they go to college. But it makes the time when you can sneak away even more precious.
Absolutely love the first two, especially the second. The quality of light and color is just superb. Your other two are also very nice, and the story with unknown exposure made me smile. With digital, you at least always know what exposure you had, if this counts as advantage
Wow Alan what a set of images! # 2 is my favorite, I cannot believe you recorded such color with film ha =) These were then scanned to post digitally I assume? Brilliant image quality on all of them and excellent composition.
Cheers to the new "life change" for you with the twins!

Thanks! The first one was actually taken with my 90mm lens, so not too wide. I agree though, it does have a wider feel to it for some reason.
An absolutely gorgeous series! I am seriously in love with the monochrome images you posted. The color images are very nice as well, but the tones of the monochrome really stand out for me.

Glad to know it gets easier...just have to make it through the next 18 years! It's funny you mention always knowing with digital. For my 2nd image, I took a digital image of the same scene so I could give people an immediate update on the fall colors in GSMNP. As soon as that image popped up on my screen I thought "Wow, it's SO nice to know I got the image!" I had honestly forgotten what that felt like.

"Life change" is definitely the way to put it! And yes, I scan all of my film with an Epson V700. I've found that, for what it cost, this scanner is more than adequate for scanning 4x5 film.

Very very nice, thanks. Especially #1
Were you using rear movements?
In this case all camera movements were zeroed out.
