Hi guys! I've been keeping busy with client work and family stuff this fall and haven't posted in a while, but wanted to share these portraits of 2 of my litlte ones.
This is the baby, Gabriel (he's actually 2 now)...
And this is my 7 year old daughter, Camille (Millie)...
Who shoots the 200mm f/2 at f/2.5 It's f/2 or nothing. You might as well save yourself a few grand and use the 200mm f/2.8. Let me know if you need some help on how to use that lens properly.
Kidding aside, great stuff as always Lisa. I'm glad you've stuck around.
Super portraits! Though I wouldn't expect anything less hehe
Camille's eyes stand out a little more than your usual work--I think the whites in particular are extremely smooth. I only mention it because I usually find your editing to be the absolute perfect combination of subtlety but still combined with those gorgeous, eye-popping tones and colors. The eyes in this particular portrait seem to deviate from that. Whatever the case, I'm sure it was intentional.
I find the red in the first is too dominant for me and detracts from the high quality of just the young boy's image. On the other hand, the harmony of colors both foreground and background in the second is astounding and they blend nicely with the colors of the young girl, particularly her eyes. Excellent work. The only downside for me is her down expression. Less smile than Mona Lisa. If and when there is another set, I would like to see something less posed, something more spontaneous, if that is something you care to do.
