The sharpness improvement is certainly amazing but the color profile being used needs some major work with the Kolari mod. Given all of the scrutiny over color and the mod, I'm wondering why this is still the case?
Hiep already has produced a LR color profile that I used to great effect.
After using it the colors look pretty natural.
We decided here to show the raw images not much processed.

So the correct profile is not being used with the Kolari mod but instead the canned A7rII adobe profile is used? Since it's only one simple selection for the profile choice in the raw converter, seems like it would be very useful to compare the color between the mod with the best profile for it vs the unmodded A7rII with it's standard profile. For many, the color question is just as important as the sharpness. I know I would love to see neutral color from the mod just to see that it's actually possible (many many Kolari examples show color issues).

Thanks. One step at a time to avoid errors.
Here one clearly can distinguish the two types of images.

The sharpness difference alone would do that...but the images are noted which is which and we generally do not tint one comparative image green (so we can distinguish it) with other comparisons in any case . Anyway, thanks for the sharpness tests. Very informative on that count.

Thanks. It's also important to show the differences for the same profile.
I could make one image with the appropriate profile.
Do you have a preference for which image? TIA.

That's very kind and thanks. Probably the WATE at 16mm's as it shows the sky, sand/ green foliage and the road.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, guys. Is that that Mandler 21 or the 21 ASPH? Same question for the coming Elmarit 28 shots, though, if Mandler, which version?

Tariq,
Just like K-H said, I used the standard Adobe profile. There is a few reasons for that. First of all, it is there to show that there is a difference color response with the Mod so potential users are aware of that. Secondly, it helped us to organize the shots easily; zooming in to check the shots would slow us down significantly. Lastly, it's also used as a visual cue to differentiate between the mod vs. stock; this is especially important when it comes to native FE comparisons. The difference in sharpness is very subtle, so the difference in color response helps.
