Wow. This image is fantastic! The composition, exposure and colors all really speak to me. Thanks for sharing. If you don't mind me asking, I have two questions - did you use any filters? and Is this a single image or a blend of multiples?

thank you IsaacTheGray, I did use filters, 6 stop and 3 stop GND, also focus stack from 8 pictures.
So, I'm guessing that the reason the exif says f/22 is just because that was your water exposure? I can't imagine needing to focus stack that scene at f/22!

Amazing photo. I hope you print this BIG and proudly display it someplace!
I have some questions for you on technique/equipment that I hope you don't mind.
1. Why were BOTH GND filters needed? Was the sky just too bright to get by with just 1?
No image degradation by stacking 2 filters?
2. Why f22 AND focus stacking?
Isn't a full frame camera going to give enough DoF at f22 for the foreground AND background to be in proper focus for what you wanted? If not, would a crop sensor body have performed better?
Please don't feel like I'm questioning your technique - just the opposite.
I'm longing to capture work this good and understand what's required.
