The skimmer colony in south jersey this year was very productive . From what we observed their was not much predation .We did notice that they staggered their egg laying as there are lots of chicks of differing age some so young that we are hoping they will be in the air when the colony takes off. These were taken in mid-August i have 1000s more from last week that i will bore you with in another post. All comments welcome and thanks as always for your support
Lovin' them skimmers Mikey. My picks are #4 my fav, and #1,3 and 5. #6 appears soft for me. #9-11 are very nice too. #13, the whites look hot on the birds' cheeks. I missed out on the tennis ball incubation.

Thanks for the look and comment 40D These birds are very difficult to get right ,From the top side you need to expose for the blacks when they have wings up its the whites that get blown out their is a lot of trial and error and many many deleted shots, then you have the reflective sunlight coming off the white sand beach but i would'nt have it any other way. if it was easy then the thrill would be gone
