I think the brand doesn't really matter but it was a Heliopan Polarizer.

Thanks Nigel, reason I asked was because some polarizers leave a grey cast.

Awesome shot! my eye wants to see what's to the top left. I wonder how the image would have been if the kayaker were composed to the lower-right third of the image. Nice shot either way
