Not the end of the season. Lots of hummer activity still happening.
Posting 25-images.
I hope to start a fire.
The first five images are the principle 2015 ruby throat hummers seen in most of the images presented in this series.
1. The dominate male for most of the season.
2. The dominate female.
3. The juvi male; he was all over the place.
4. The juvi female would slip in every chance she could.
5. The “scruffy” male. He got better looking over the last week.
-those who no longer post on FM and those FM’ers who have passed on;
-those who have stood, sat or crouched next to me when it was blistering cold… Herb, Andrew J, Mike, Shed; Kurt and the list goes on;
- FM long timers Socrate, Tim, Tim, Eric, Karl, Raymond, Tony, Paul A and Russ I (from the sports board) and so many more;
- the person, who so many years ago replied to one of my threads, “why are you posting these images.”
Inspiration comes in many forms. I’m done with the mush.

Just wonderful and awful special Ted....this is really a labor of love....for each of these special shots there are hundreds and hundreds and probably thousands that are just off and didn't make the cut. Thanks for the shout out....if we all push in the same direction we will arrive together and that is good for us all.
Eric
Wonderful hummingbird images...... those little creatures really get under your skin, don't they. You have a real talent for capturing these little jewels ... and your tribute to those who have inspired you is very touching.
There is so much more to this art form than merely clicking frames.
You have clearly had a great time photographing the hummers Ted and I bet you will miss them. I've enjoyed you sharing the results and wish I had such opportunities.
All of these are very good Ted and I've come to expect this form you. These are my top picks:

Ted,
While not a frequent poster, I've been around the board for a while now, maybe even a tad longer than you, and it's been a pleasure to see how your work has grown through the years. Fabulous set, each one, no doubt, a joy to capture.
