how did you manage your trips out there? did you rent a truck and drive on your own or did you get a guide? did you know where to go...perhaps you've been there before? i'd like to go in 2016 but would have no idea where to go for the sake of shooting (photographs, not weapons )
Many thanks to the more recent positive comments, greatly appreciated.

Hi Stan
Having travelled frequently to East/Sth Africa since 1982, one gets to know the layout fairly well, albeit a constantly changing one. My two favourite areas are the Sth Luangwa NP in Zambia & Ruaha NP in Tanzania, both areas still have the tsetse fly, which is what keeps a lot of tourists away but one small reason that keeps me coming back due to less crowding. Having said that SLNP over the last 10 yrs is becoming a little too popular for mine.
Where possible I always use a private vehicle and the cost can be considerable, depending on your negotiating skills with each camp, in the past I used to deal with camp managers who were also the owners, but in todays "corporate world" that is sadly becoming a rarity. Also I'm one who is prepared (most times) to stay out all day to get the images I require, plus I have a real passion for just being out in the bush away from crowds, I have stayed at sightings ALL day and often for little or no result......but still love it!
I'd need to know your budget and just what conditions you're prepared to put up with in order to get the type of images you require.
Great shots and variety. Also nice to see the behavior, silhouettes, and environmental shots along with the classic portraits. Good job and thanks for sharing.
The best set of African WL I've seen. Period. Thank you for sharing. What time of the year you went there? Looks like there're lot of green compared to other pictures we've seen
Many thanks Dave & Jemini for your positive comments.

These were taken late January through to Febuary, with rain showers greening up the landscape which keep the migrating wildebeest & zebra around and it's also the start of the wildebeest calving season.
Had to bump this at least one more time Marc. Absolutely stunning photos and just love the Cheetah cub shots. All of your work is wonderfully artistic and truly helps define the beauty and majesty of Africa. Peter A.
