Hi all. It's been a while, but I haven't really had too much stuff that I have thought worthy of showing here. Anyway, I have managed to get a few shots of a Spotted Pardalote, a small bird about 3" from tip of beak to tip of tail. One of my favourite birds as they are so beautiful and colourful and can be quite inquisitive, often looking at the camera when the shutter fires.
Here is Mr and Mrs Spotted Pardalote with nest building materials as they are building a nest in the hollow of a tree. They stop on this bracken as they wait till the cost is clear and then fly into the hollow. Mr Pardalote has the black head crown with white spots, Mrs Pardalote has the black head crown with yellow spots. Mrs Pardalote isn't quite as busy with the nest building as Mr Pardalote and not as co-operative with regards to getting her photo taken. I hope to be able to keep going back to check on their progress as they start feeding their young and hopefully when the young fledge.
These shots have been taken over a bout a week with various lighting conditions.
