I might be tempted to mess with the WB, sat, hue to get the most pleasing color even if its not accurate. Not bad as is, but I can see how playing with the colors might be cool here
Thanks, guys. As you all know, I like getting feedback and often make changes based on them. I really like the warm tones on this one. I'll play with it a bit to see if I like a different color, but I'd honestly be surprised if I find anything I like better.
I like this one too. Good tones and I like that the silhouette has a tinge of colour. Love the sharply focused tree.
I'm not sure the birds are helping the shot. Getting too many things other than the model to look at. So look at it as an "undecided nit" or just something to discuss.
It's a great image, Ron, and I'm jealous. Again. Hyper-critically, I think this image has (too?) many elements -- the upper clouds, the birds, the sun, the bright edge of the cloud from where the sun emanates, the mother-to-be, the grass, and the tree. If I was to edit this, I'd see how the image looked minus the high clouds and the birds. I'd keep the tree (wishing the branches weren't cut off). Nice symbolism -- the tree, representing new life. Could I create an image like this? Probably not.
Lovely! I think I'd do some selective WB on her, she looks like she might be a little blue. I'd also try bringing her up ever so slightly, keeping the silhouette feel that I really like, but adding just a smidge to her.

Thanks, Larry! I like the elements. I think you might feel differently about the number of elements if you saw the image at 24x36 images as it's meant to be, as opposed to a small web image. Yes, the tree represents new life and the leaves are new, from an early spring shot. Tree is placed there intentionally with the ends of the branches cut off. With the branches fully in the image, I felt it was taking up too much space.

Thanks, Doug! When you say "she" are you talking about her skin tones or the dress, which is blue? When you say "bring her up", you may lighten her a bit, right? I hadn't done that yet, but I've thought about it. Just a smidge, as you mentioned. I might play with that.

Yes, her skin tone. If you plan to lighten her a smidge, I'd wait to see what happens to her skin tone. It may not need adjustment. All in all the color palette is pretty subtle, which I appreciate. This is just the kind of image that some would amp up to the point of being garish.
If it were my image, when lightening her slightly, I'd also look at adding some local clarity in LR. I'd actually use NIK's Viveza with a control point or two, adjusting the structure slider.
Even if you don't do a thing to it, it's a fine image just as it is. Any adjustments I would make would be subtle.
