I have been using ND stacks in my 11-24 and find it very difficult to focus because the image is so dark. I assume you could prefocus here either before attaching the filter or by adjusting it for minimum effect.
Thanks Ben. I have used a 10-stop ND gel filter with the 11-24 and found it hard to focus. it's much easier with a variable filter or a square filter (in front of the camera) but it's not possible with this lens on a Canon body.
The beauty of this adapter is that you can use it with the 11-24mm on the A7R. Works great.
Best,
Fred
That was quite a hotel if this was only a short drive away As all have said before, that foreground in three groups strikes a nice balance and the blending is seamless.
You have me considering the adapter just for the 17 TS-E so that I don't have to deal with a front adapter.
Tim
Tim,
The variable ND adapter works great on the TS-E 17 f/4 and EF 11-24 f/4. The only issue is no tripod support on the adapter and these lenses are a heavy for the Sony mount.

Thanks Patrick. I did the opposite. Hot here and super cold over there. Awesome skiing in Queenstown and Lake Wanaka (Cardrona)
