Couldn't stand it any longer, so the tripod and 500mm went to the garden this morning. After waiting for almost 2 hours, she showed up and hit the Mexican sunflowers. She made my day I got about 25 shots before she left and I enjoyed watching her for each and every one of them. Here are a couple that she graced me with.
As always, your nits, crits and suggestions are most appreciated.

Love the composition in the second, and it seconds its own nomination with more vibrant color. First one is gorgeous, but color looks a little flat once you've seen the second.
Knew a little surgery couldn't keep you down for long! Two beauties and so glad your patience was rewarded! Both the hummer and its food source are gorgeous...

Very nice work, Roberta. Interesting light; in the first one I thought you may have used a flash.
#1 very impressive, but #2 even better. Something about the bird looking up I think.
Thank you so much. I was using flash in both, but dialed down between -1.7 and -2.
