Wow, spectacular! I thought I got some good wader photos but I've got to slink off backwards with my head bent lol.
Herb, are the first few shots with natural light, or did you use a better beamer or some such device? The lighting is simply fantastic, I've never been able to find herons in anything but light-challenged environments.

Thanks for the uber kind comments. all the shots were taken with natural light, the first few between 6-7 am. I used to use better Beamer but not for IFs as the flash cannot keep up with 10 fps bursts.
