Very nicely executed. The only input I can give is maybe tell her a joke next time? She seems maybe too reserved given how similar all the expressions are? Thanks for sharing - I think you've done really well and I think #5 is the winner for me...

Thank you all for the kind words! I was happy with how they all turned out. r-m-g, I agree about her reservation. At this point, unfortunately, she has very bad teeth. Not just "9 year old missing teeth goofy smile", but like "really needing major dental work" teeth I really hope that my mother in law will buy her braces because her parents do not have the money for them nor will they probably ever. So, she's pretty self conscious about her smile now. I think she was trying to balance a smile with not showing her teeth, as well as trying to get some more soulful looks in as well. She did this all naturally for me and it has been years since I've shot her, so I feel like she has natural model instinct in her! I'm looking forward to capturing her as she grows. She also has a lot of sadness in her. I don't want to say she's had a hard life, but her life isn't filled with as much joy or privilege as I wish it was. I do have more with some more smiles so I will share those when processed. She really is just so lovely and I love her so!!!
Very nice shots. For me #3 is the best combination of composition, pose and expression. It looks like her expression and attitude match up well in that one.
Thanks for sharing.
