Hi, I'm a new member to this website and this is my very first post. I'm still learning about photography. Thank you for viewing, comments and suggestions. I recently had an opportunity to observe the Red Tailed Hawk family at the Southern California coast . The nest is about 150 yards from where I stand and it's kind of far for my lens but I'd like to share the story with you.

Dating

2 Chicks from their love

Parent bring back squirrel for lunch

Sometimes gopher snake for dinner

One day when both parents went out hunting, disaster struck when a raven invaded the nest.

The Raven came back for the last chick, but some reasons, he spared the chick life. He flew away.

Mom came back and found one baby missing

Fighting with the raven with her upset

The baby now is so lonely in the nest and ready to pledge

You can resize your pics before uploading to around 1100 px for landscape format and around 900 px for vertical crops. The file size shouldn't exceed 600KB.
