Unique shot Jim! I lived there a few years with my family but was more into street shooting at the time.... Beautiful country (and people) there for sure. Look forward to seeing more.
Hey Gary, that had to have been cool to live there! I sure can't wait to go back and explore more places there. Glad you liked this.

Wonderful colors in a nightscape, Jim. I keep hearing nice things about my wife's homeland, got to visit someday.
Smart man married to a Filipina! You definitely need to go, it's a photographers paradise for sure. Thanks for your comments.

Excellent Jim!
It's got my vote too! As unique as any of the recent winners for sure.
Thanks Craig, I appreciate that, and I am glad you liked this. It was sure nice to be able to come away with something different.

That is a pretty darn special shot from edge to edge!
Great capture!
Greg
Thanks you guys! It was so special to just be standing out there in those conditions and to end up having the photos turn out so nice is just like icing on the cake.
I thought it was grass on my phone at first but man that's cool! I'd tell you how hot cali is right now but i'm pretty sure the humidity there is nasty hehe
What a beauty! Love it.
Great work here, did you darken those top corners on purpose?
Andrey
Glad you like this Andrey! No, I didn't darken the corners on this, it's just the result of normal light fall off. Usually in my star shots I will use a couple of layer masks to remove any darkening of the corners and even out the light in the sky, but this time I just left it as it was as it seemed to look pretty cool this way.
Jim! I couldn't tell what the foreground was, I first thought it was dense jungle seen from high above. Then after reading it was in the Philippines, I thought for sure I was right. But it's water I'm still having trouble making the white balance work in my head, haha
